Regional conference on non-formal prevention education

On June 5, ARC Fund organizes the first regional conference “Prevention through interactive non-formal education” targeted at experts from non-governmental organisations in the Balkans. The conference is in the framework of a project titled “Virtual and real violence: Prevention by interactive education in schools” implemented by ARC Fund and Association Parents and co-funded by the Swiss Oak Foundation and the Safer Internet Programme of the European Commission.

At the conference organisations from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR of Macedonia and Serbia will share expertise in different methods and forms of non-formal education of minors aiming to prevent risky behavior and develop social skills and emotional intelligence.

ARC Fund and Association Parents will present their methodology for interactive education in schools for prevention of cyber-bullying and physical aggression. The methodology is being implemented in over 100 schools in 5 cities – Sofia, Varna, Dimitrovgrad, Russe and Silistra based on two volumes with 44 interactive lessons.

The participants at the conference will discuss opportunities for further best practice sharing and cooperation in the development of new methods and tools for development of social skills and prevention of risky and harmful behavior of minors.
