A Technology Brokerage Event in the field of Machine Building was organised by ARC Fund as an activity under the project Innovation Relay Centre-Bulgaria together with Deutsch-Bulgarische Gesellschaft Sachsen-Anhalt. The event took place on 27-28 September 2005 during the International Technical Fair 2005 in the city of Plovdiv.
The event offered the participating company representatives, RTD organisations and experts unique opportunities to meet and establish cross-border contacts with a diverse range of European companies. The objective of this networking was to foster Transnational Technology Transfer (TTT) agreements and technological co-operation, to encourage establishing start-up companies as well as to inspire and initiate joint participation in European RTD projects and future collaboration. This was a great opportunity for researchers to investigate the potential of commercial exploitation for products and technologies in the development stage.
The main thematic areas covered during the event were:
– Machine Building and Tools
– Heavy Machine Building
– Mechanics, Hydraulics and Pneumatics
– Moulding and Forming
A total of 48 companies participated in the event – ot them 30 were Bulgarian, 15 German and 3 Greek.
A catalogue with 56 technology profiles was published (34 Bulgarian, 17 German and 5 Greek). The Bulgarian organizations that participated in the event expressed their views that the contacts established were valuable and might lead to positive future collaborations.
