On 30 June ARC Fund received a plate of honour from the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina for providing a 2-day Safer Internet training in Sarajevo for non-governmental organisations.
The two-day training seminar “Prevention of child abuse and exploitation through information and communication technologies” was co-organised by the Sarajevo office of Save the Children-Norway and the Ministry of Security. More than 30 representatives of NGOs from all over the country participated in the training provided by the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre and the Centre for Inclusive Education.
In mid-August Save the Children Norway and the Ministry of Security of B&H are opening a call for proposals from NGOs for establishing a national Internet Hotline for fighting illegal and harmful content and conduct online. ARC Fund, as co-ordinator of the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre, was asked to conduct training for local NGOs in order to prepare the potential candidates for applying for the funds. That will be the first Safer Internet activity in B&H.
