Biography
Desislava Asenova is project manager with more than 8 years of professional experience with management and implementation of EU-supported projects funded under the EU Framework Programs (FP7, Horizon 2020, ERASMUS+, Interreg Danube). Her research focus is on energy (including energy efficiency, energy transition and energy conscious behavior), public engagement in research and innovation, policy design, social innovations and sustainable development.
Desislava is also experienced in administrative activities in the field of education and in working with children and young people. She has three years of experience as a volunteer in a leadership academy for young people, where she used to be a group councilor and a lecturer about leadership and teamwork. In March 2020 – October 2021 Desislava worked at the Safer Internet Center where she was involved in projects related to media and information literary of children and young people and their protection and empowerment in Internet. She was also involved as a trainer in the Cyberscout program of SafeNet, training children how to keep safe while online.
