Biography

Dr. Koleva is an expert in intellectual property and innovation. For the past 12 years she contributed as an author in several publications of the annual Innovation.bg report of ARC Fund. As a Senior Analyst at ARC Fund in the last 6 years Dr. Koleva has participated in the organization of the National Contest “Innovative Enterprise of the Year”, the National Innovation Forum and the “Excellence in Innovation” award ceremony. She was a project officer for Bulgaria for the “Enhancing competitiveness of SMEs through improved innovation support” initiative as well. 

Dr. Koleva is member of the team of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – Bulgaria, where she provides services to businesses related to intellectual property, innovation management and internationalization. She has been an external reviewer of EEN, as well as European IP Helpdesk Ambassador for Bulgaria. Dr. Koleva participates as a lecturer in ARC Fund’s trainings and events. She also takes part in other projects of ARC Fund focused on innovations. 

Dr. Koleva has over 20 years of research and teaching experience in the domain of intellectual property at the University of National and World Economy. She also has a post-graduate specializations from Peking University School of Government, jointly with the University of Turin and University of Milan, and from the Jagiellonian University. She acted as a lecturer of the World Intellectual Property Organization for some of its distance learning courses. Dr. Koleva has worked on a number of intellectual property related projects, and is also an experienced speaker on intellectual property and innovation related topics.
