Biography
Kalina Tcolova has five years of experience in project management and analysis of innovation and regional policy, with a focus on EU-funded programs such as Horizon Europe, URBACT, Interreg Europe, Life, EIC Accelerator Open, as well as the Operational Program Environment.
Having worked in the public, private, and non-governmental sectors, Kalina has been involved in policy development on a variety of topics such: as climate change adaptation and mitigation, urban heat islands and air quality, innovative financial models for energy efficiency in buildings, energy poverty and inequality in access to housing infrastructure, food waste reduction, corporate social responsibility, and the development of smart city projects.
At the Applied Research and Communications Fund, Kalina works on topics related to the development of innovations in the urban environment that contribute to climate change adaptation and increase the sustainability of cities.
