On 15 October 2025, energy experts, policymakers, civil society representatives, and regional actors will gather in Brussels for Power with People: Local Tools for Just Wind Futures, the final event of the JustWind4All and WIMBY projects. The event will showcase three years of collaboration dedicated to making wind energy deployment fair, inclusive, and participatory.
Europe is accelerating its shift to renewable energy, but aligning EU policy ambitions with local needs remains a challenge. Over the past three years, JustWind4All and WIMBY have:
- Created practical tools and policy insights to support fair wind energy deployment.
- Placed stakeholder engagement and regional collaboration at the core of project activities.
- Advanced energy justice and participation as key drivers of the green transition.
The final event will highlight these outcomes through interactive demonstrations, panel discussions, and co-creation dialogues, offering participants hands-on opportunities to test tools and shape recommendations for just wind deployment.
The programme will feature contributions from project partners of JustWind4All and WIMBY, sharing the tools and methods they have co-developed over the past three years. They will be joined by external experts offering diverse perspectives, including Guy Willems (WindEurope), Zoe Ledwith (REScoop), Elif Gündüzyeli (The Nature Conservancy) and Silvia Assalini (ICLEI).
