On 18th May, during the fifth annual Famillathlon, SIC’s biggest outdoor event throughout the year, the youth panel from the French lycee in Sofia proved that young people want to take a stand on promoting better internet for children and teens. The game “Hide your face”, designed and organised by the panel, was based on the game Assassins’ Creed and the book “Hunger games”, that are extremely popular among youngsters these days. Every participant chooses what kind of personal information to share with the others. From that moment on, he becomes the target of his assassin who has to track him down and shoot him with a water blaster. The game successfully illustrated how risky sharing personal information can be in a funny and very refreshing way, given the air temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. A number of young people joined the game and their participation was awarded with special prizes and an important piece of advice “Mind what you share!”.
“Hide your face” was one of the SIC initiatives aiming to promote the mission of the centre and its services to the over 3,000 children, teens and parents that attend the Famillathlon each year in the South park in Sofia to play and learn together as a family.
