The national contest “Innovative Enterprise of the Year 2020” has closed its campaign for candidates. The initiative traditionally seeks Bulgarian start-ups and established enterprises that have successfully developed and implemented innovations in their production and management, service provision and management. The 2020 Innovative Enterprise of the Year competition is held under the auspices of President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev.
In addition to the “2020 Innovative Enterprise of the Year” award, presented in 8 categories, the winning companies in the competition receive the right to use the Excellence in Innovation label of the Applied Research and Communications Fund. More than 120 companies in various economic sectors, from start-ups to market leaders, have received recognition for their successful innovation projects. Among the winners of the competition are Specima, Printivo, Software University, Scale Focus, Ultraflex Corporation, International Power Supply, Proviotic, Naikoms, and Linplum.
The application was fully online until 21 October 2020, 23:45 on the innovation.bg platform. The initiative was open to active companies that have successfully developed and implemented an innovation in the last three years. 8 categories were open, such as market leadership, social or green innovation, innovation management.
The competition aims to promote successful Bulgarian business models based on innovation and new technologies. Candidates are evaluated in separate categories according to a special methodology by a group of experts and a jury, according to the impact of the awarded innovations.
The competition is organized by the Applied Research and Communications Fund, ARC Consulting and Enterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria, with the support of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. The initiative has been recognised by the European Commission as a good national practice to support innovation development.
