On December 9, 2009 the Applied Research and Communications Fund (ARC Fund) in cooperation with the Association of Business Cluster (BBA) and the Center for Innovation of BAS organized a meeting with cluster-member companies from Varna, members of the BBA. The event was hosted by the Institute of Aero- and Hydrodynamics (BAS – Varna). The topics discussed during the meeting included:
– Funding opportunities for clusters under OP “Competitiveness” of 2010 (Mr. Angel Kovachev, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism)
– Opportunities for technology and business partnership search. Enterprise Europe Network services for companies and research organizations from EU countries. Sixth National Competition “Innovative Enterprise of the Year” (Mr. Kalin Mutafchiev, ARC Fund)
The meeting was attended by 15 people, representatives of 5 companies, 3 clusters, 2 University structures and a representative of the Club for Innovation Culture – Varna. The clusters represented included the Energy cluster, Marine Cluster and Tourism Cluster.
The meeting aimed at providing information, printed materials (including guides for FP7) and advice on funding opportunities under OP “Competitiveness” in 2010, the opportunities EEN offers, related to publication and promotion of technology offers and requests, innovative products and services, marketing on international markets, business partnership and business cooperation search, as well as providing information regarding preparation and application of a project proposal to current and upcoming competitions under the Seventh Framework Program (FP7).
