Applied Research and Communications Fund (Enterprise Europe Network – Bulgaria) and the Association of Business Clusters in Bulgaria (ABC) organized a seminar during International Fair Plovdiv exhibition on 29th September 2010 addressing clusters with main topic of the event – cluster development measures applicable for Bulgarian clusters, associations and technology parks .
The event featured a discussion between cluster management representatives, technology and business consultants and mediators, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ecology and Tourism and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) on topics including current state of the clusters in Bulgaria, financing opportunities under OP Competitiveness (EU Structural Funds), cluster development and internal organization, cluster management as well as integration of services, offices and information points including IPR consultancy, education and training in clusters’ structure and activity. 40 participants took part in the seminar, representing administrative bodies (MEET and BSMEPA), consultants and mediators (ARC Fund, GIS Transfer centre), universities (St. Kliment Ohridski – Sofia and Technical University – Sofia), EURATEX, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bulgarian industrial association, associations (Business Clusters in Bulgaria, Women entrepreneurs) companies and clusters.
