The Applied Research and Communications Fund and the consortium partners of the RRI-LEADERS project are jointly organizing the conference “TERRITORIES AS LEADERS IN RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION” on 19 Oct 2023 in Brussels, at the Committee of the Regions. The conference is focused on the experience of European territories in integrating responsible research and innovation (RRI) in territorial policymaking in diverse policy areas, among which are sustainable urban development, energy transition, digital transformation, healthy ageing, smart specialization. An important aspect of these territorial experiences is the close collaboration with the territorial Quadruple Helix stakeholders, and particularly the mobilization of citizens, irrespective of their age, gender, ethnicity and socioeconomic background.
