Three new digital platforms have been created to facilitate transnational cooperation and the effective participation of stakeholders from the Danube region in the implementation of the European Union’s two climate missions. The platforms, created as part of the HARMONMISSIONS initiative, work in sync to share knowledge, support projects, and build partnerships within Mission 1 (Adaptation to Climate Change) and Mission 4 (100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030).
The SHARED platform connects stakeholders in the Danube region with resources, projects, knowledge, and good practices related to the EU Climate Missions. It provides:
- A project repository with examples and results from initiatives,
- A calendar of events for training, meetings, and cooperation opportunities,
- A knowledge base with materials, case studies, and documentary resources.
The European Mission Observatory (EMO) is a central hub for information and interaction, specifically created to support participation in EU Missions. EMO creates an environment for communication, exchange of ideas, and joint initiatives among institutions, organizations, researchers, and other participants in the Danube region. The platform offers:
- Up-to-date news on policies, open calls, and legislative changes,
- Tools for finding partners, making consortium building more competitive,
- A directory of stakeholders from different sectors,
- A library of good practices and training materials.
The Climate City Contracts Platform (CCC) helps promote the European governance tool designed to support cities in overcoming barriers to climate and energy transformation by 2030. The platform consists of three parts:
- A database containing national and regional strategies for all sectors relevant to climate adaptation,
- A repository of information on stakeholders in the Danube region, including the public and private sectors, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, and citizens,
- A directory of financial resources and information on their application.
The aim of these platforms is to stimulate the exchange of experience and information, encourage joint work in the Danube region, and ensure the practical implementation of climate missions.
