On March 2, Ventseslav Kozarev, Program Coordinator of the Applied Research and Communications Fund, participated in the morning Radiocafe on Radio Sofia. The expert explained the specifics of the five key aspects of the concept of responsible research and innovation: ethics, public engagement, gender equality, free access to scientific information and scientific education. Together with the presenter Lili Goleminova, she also commented on how citizens can participate in the debate on the topic, because innovation is developed in a continuous dialogue with high-level experts in science from the government sector, business and industry, the research and education community, and civil society.
The RRI-PRACTICE project is funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Science and Innovation and runs from September 2016 to August 2019. It involves organisations from 12 countries across Europe and the world, namely Norway, Bulgaria, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Italy, China, the USA, India, Brazil and Australia. On the Bulgarian side, the Applied Research and Communications Fund is participating.
