Radio show on innovation and entrepreneurship brought together experts and businessmen on the air of Radio Sofia

On 21 April, Radio Sofia hosted the third specialised radio show on innovation and entrepreneurship in partnership with the Applied Research and Communications Fund and Work and Share coworking space. Bozhidar Georgiev, Angel Chureshki, prof. Maria Vodenka and the expert from the Ministry of Economy Iliana Ilieva spoke on various topics related to the development of a competitive business environment.

Iliana Ilieva, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General “European Funds for Competitiveness” at the Ministry of Economy, talked about the procedure “Regional Innovation Centres” for granting grants under the Operational Programme “Innovation and Competitiveness”. At the end of May or the beginning of June, the application process will start.

Angel Chureshki, founder of the innovative company MAKE Bulgaria, explained how a unique technology for planning and installing thermal insulation of high-rise buildings is created. The company has won an award in the Innovative Enterprise of the Year competition.

Bozhidar Georgiev, creator of the Work and Share coworking space, commented on the trend of increasing this type of workplace. He stressed that even in the design of classical office buildings, the flexibility of shared offices is sought, because they create active communities.

Prof. Maria Vodenska, professor of tourism at the International Business School, spoke on the development of innovation, flexible management and entrepreneurship in national resorts. As part of a project to monitor these resorts, she and her team are studying their impact on the local community and economy.
